Preparation is the key to effective document imaging. Based on your retrieval requirements for archived documents, we will recommend that the microfilming process be roll film or jacketed. Microfilming is a cost-efficient solution for long-term record storage.

Roll Film

Documents are usually roll filmed where limited retrieval is expected. Lists are created to organize documents in a logical order and to allow for location and retrieval.

Jacketed

Microfilm jackets are recommended where both long term storage and more frequent retrieval are required.

We take care to ensure proper indexing and quality checks. An initial list of documents is created as boxes are numbered to match jacket groups.

Documents are prepared for microfilming by removing all staples and fasteners. During preparation, documents are reviewed for misfiles and where necessary, misfiles are removed prior to processing.
